LETTER - BODIES EXCAVATED

The letter below, from 1929, sent by the Deputy Colonial Secretary to Major J.M. Holey, Militia Archivist, confirmed that 12 more bodies of Newfoundland soldiers were found and excavated from the Beaumont-Hamel park. Two of them were identified as Private George Winsor and Private Arthur Driscoll.
